A break from the political crap...
I've had "Kissing the lipless" stuck in my head for a few weeks now. The Shins have really come on as a catchy indiepop band these last few months. The highlight for them is probably their appearance on the Garden state soundtrack, which appears to be selling well. (I still need to see that movie.) It's also available on The Shins' second CD, Chutes too narrow.
This version of "Kissing the lipless" comes from a live Shins appearance (14 Nov 2003) at the now-gone First Avenue club in Minneapolis. (It's supposed to be a really good recording, but I found it to be somewhat crackly, especially in the beginning.)
